Klagenfurt by the Sea

The Wörther See, my favourite body of water, is the opposite of a surfer's or sailor's paradise as there is usually never any wind in Klagenfurt, a town mostly known for fog due to its geographical position in a basin. On Sunday, however, my mother and I thought we were at the sea - strong winds that had you leap onto your bath mat upon spreading it out in order to prevent it flopping against your head in an instant and waves worthy of a sea, rather than a lake. It was quite challenging to try to swim, most of all for Mum who doesn't want to get her hair wet when swimming. We were practically the only people in the water, but I loved the novelty of the experience.
