city lights
Wow, they really are beautiful, Vienna's city lights. I'd say they are something special, aesthetically for example.
Somehow Christmas is not a topic here, either. Yesterday I had to decline some work because everyone is obviously going crazy with their translation needs, well, the nice lady on the other side of the phone wished me a nice holiday and the rest of the year. No words about Christmas, of course (you never know whether you're not talking to a hardcore atheist, do you)... But it sounded so funny: rest of the year? Holiday? Maybe I could go picking some daisies then?
Your new baby seems to be working just fine, the photos are stunning!
Although I can't wait for Dec. 26, when all the x-mas decorations here will be gone and shops will put up traditional New Year's decorations. I am fed up with all the Rudolf the Red nosed Reindeer and plastic Santas, not to mention music selection for the past two months in the shops here. Don't get me wrong, I love x-mas, but enough is enough. I am pretty sure they didn't put up decorations in Vienna in the middle of October! It seems that here everything gets exaggerated and blown up, even if it was not their holiday to start with. I do wish I was in Europe this time of year and looking at those lovely lights on your photos - I wish I was in Vienna!
Girls, these decorations are only the tip of the iceberg! There are more or less tasteful lights wherever you look. They don't put the lights up as early as October, Ka-ma, but that's the time when they start selling chocolate Santas and edible tree decorations in supermarkets which I find just as bad/sad.
I don't really know about the fashion with the blue lights everywhere nowadays (not on these pictures, but in general). It's looks a bit cold.
