When Sporty left us last month to return to Hamburg, she gave us a parting gift: a dartboard and darts "so that you'll have something to play other than foosball". Well, I can only say that it was a brilliant idea as we've played a lot already (as the picture no doubt illustrates). One of the two German colleagues who are supporting the team this quarter introduced an addictive game: all players start with 301 and have to count backwards. It might sound easy enough, but the tricky part is that towards the end you have to throw exactly the number that's left on the paper where you keep score. Often the person who has a promising start by scoring high numbers, loses.

Last week, the scholar brought a Go board to work. I see a new addiction/teambuidling activity on the horizon...
