When I recently was in downtown KLU, I noticed that the
Lindwurm, the town's landmark was wrapped with white ribbons and the pedestal was wrapped in red fabric. Had
Christo paid a visit? When I got closer, I saw that it had to do with a poster exhibition showing the plight of
Russian POWs during WWII in Carinthia.

The photos were haunting and it seemed strange that on the opposite side of the Lindwurm (right behind its tail, actually) there was a kind of fair offering Italian food and drink and brochures of the adriatic town of Jesolo, a popular holiday destination for Austrians. A sand-sculpture depicting Empress Sisi and Emperor Francis Joseph was getting its finishing touches:
