Tuesday Trivia
Kurkonditorei Oberlaa recently introduced (French-style) macaroons. On Sunday, I tried all 7 flavours. Very yummy, the fruity ones in particular. Four of them didn't make it home for the photo-session as I had already devoured them on the bus to my aunt's ... FCN is the bestest [sic!]. She was on vacation in Ireland (bitch!) and brought me back an assortment of treats when she returned to Coma HQ yesterday:

I've in fact been back to Ireland several times after my ERASMUS year and actually was a bit disappointed the last time I was there: VERY expensive and people seemed less friendly. Still, I get rather envious and nostalgic whenever people tell me they are going to Dublin.
As for the Scottish Highlands, rainy or not: they are very beautiful as well and you should definitely go. I volunteer to accompany you should hubby refuse ;-)
I would indeed go by car so your excuse still is valid, phew!
Well, the ban on smoking in pubs (introduced after my last visit) is actually something I applaud and FCN said it made a huge difference.
The non smoking in public places made a huge difference, for a start I didn't wake up after being in the pub and think my head was buried in an ashtray. Ireland has obviously had huge donations from the EU and are building even "huger" visitor centres at the various tourist sites which spoiled it a little for me but still I loved it and the people were really friendly. Having said that, NOTHING can beat the Scottish Highlands, (at least on the British Isles) especially the West coast. So get your clogs on that accelerator! Blagus do a fly/drive deal to Edinburgh.
