Memories of Sunnier Fridays

It has been pissing down rain all day today, so no al fresco after works drink today, and this "archive photo" from 3 Fridays back (if I remember correctly) has to suffice. Personally, I don't mind a bit of rain per se and take any excuse to put on wellies, but returning to the office with soaked legs and shoes after a quick lunch-time excursion outside is not so sexy.

It's the same every summer: take a few very hot days and the papers are full of this "summer of the century", interviewing people who work in literally "hot jobs", such as bakers, construction workers who lay tarmac on roads, etc. When heavy rain inevitably follows, out come headlines evoking deluges and "floods of the century". Oh, lucky country whose main concern is the (recurring) weather...
