Things that Made Me Happy Last Week: Week 26

1. My business trip to Vilnius - I hadn't been in quite a while and it made me happy to walk around the old town; revisiting old favourites and discovering nice new spots.

2. My new phone. The battery life of the OnePlus One is so much better than that of my Nexus 5.

3. A Saturday night date with Snow White whom I had not seen since my birthday dinner. We checked out a new restaurant in her hood and enjoyed a lovely dinner with a lot of mutual catching up. It makes me sincerely happy to have good friends like her.

Things That Made Me Happy Last Week: Week 25

1. That I survived this super stressful week. No, really!
2. Getting a lot of things ticked off my imaginary checklist.
3. Finally coaxing some honest words out of a person that is (too) close to my heart, even if it will take some time to digest them.

Things That Made Me Happy Last Week: Week 24

1. My weekend in Stockholm as such. Long time, no see!
2. Taking the ferry to Vaxholm and enjoying an afternoon in glorious sunshine on Friday to name just one of the things that made me happy there. I love being by the seaside so much.
3. The fact that a dear colleague confessed to be unprepared for a catch-up meeting over video conference, but wanted to keep the slot in the calendar anyway as she hadn't talked to anyone all day and her day had been sh**. Up to Thursday evening when I left for Stockholm, my week had been conspiring against me, too, so I could more than feel with her. It just made me happy that talking to me was a highlight of her day.

Things that Made Me Happy Last Week: Week 23

1. Spending several lazy afternoons by the lake with the Pampered Princess and PPS like in the old days (ok, give or take a couple of kids).

2. Enjoying after-work drinks with my besties.

3. A "culture date" with a male friend that was the one nice (and entirely platonic) by-product of an otherwise catastrophic fling with online-dating last year.

Things that Made Me Happy Last Week: Week 22

1. Enjoying summer weather and having a great time overall in Almaty, KZ.
2. Meeting some of my favourite people on the weekend.
3. My mother's delight at my birthday present for her.
